Arlington, TX – Last night at KAABOO Texas’ inaugural opening night, Lionel Richie played to a slightly damp crowd. As he made his way across the stage, the dampness got the best of him. He slipped and fell, as gracefully as possible while the band played on. Ironically enough, he told the audience that he had just bragged backstage that he had never fallen on stage. “History has been made tonight,” Richie proclaimed.
Despite the ‘slip up’, Richie continued to delight the crowd claiming that the night was about playing ‘all the hits’. The 69 year old had the crowd in his pocket as they sang in unison with every song.
