DISTURBED BROUGHT THEIR HEART TO DALLAS

DALLAS, TX (August 12, 2016) –  Disturbed fans faithfully stood outside in the 100+ degree Texas heat at Gexa Energy Pavilion on Friday night , waiting to show this insane lineup why Dallas is one of the best locations to entertain!

Saint Asonia, fronted by former 3 Days Grace singer, Adam Gontier,  started the night off with “Fairy Tale’.  This got the crowd of close to 20,000 going strong. They followed with “King of Nothing” and “Dying Slowly” before breaking into one of Adam’s older 3 Days Grace songs “Just Like You”.  Fans went crazy, singing back to Gontier as loud as they could possibly muster. They followed with one more of Gontiers older songs, “I Hate Everything About You” and closed with “Better Place” and “Let Me Live My Life.”
After the taste of Saint Asonia, there was a definite energy building in anticipation of what was yet to come.   As Mark Tremonti led Alter Bridge onto the stage, fans were getting fired up and ready to go.  Myles Kennedy hit the stage and owned it for the next seven songs.  His voice was golden and spot on as he started with “Come To Life”.   The set included “Farther”,  “Ties”, “Isolation”, “Metalingus”, “Blackbird” and a all time favorite “Rise Today”.  Although the short set left fans wanting for more, they were excited to hear Alter Bridge will be playing again in Dallas on October 7th at the House of Blues.

Following, was the highly anticipated Breaking Benjamin. Although they performed at BFD 2015 in Dallas, a lot of fans had not seen the band since their hiatus in early 2010. This was due to health issues that Benjamin Burnley had been facing.  They started with a crowd favorite, “So Cold”, which had nearly every on in attendance singing each and every word of the song. They played 13 more songs, among of which were “Angels Fall”, “Sooner or Later” and ” Blow Me Away”.  Following that, they went into an ode to Star Wars, playing the “Imperial March”, which lead into other covers such as “Schism” by

Tool and “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana. However, the highlight of their cover song segment was when they played tribute to Dallas native rock band Pantera by having Dave Draiman of Disturbed join them on stage and perform “Walk”.  By this point fans were completely consumed by this crazy ensemble that Breaking Benjamin had played, however, they weren’t quite done.  They went on to play “Polamorous”, “Ashes of Eden”, “Believe”, “Breath”, “Failure”, “I Will Not Back Down”, featuring Adam Gontier, “Until The End” and closed with “The Diary of Jane”.  The crowd was so in sync singing the lyrics, Benjamin could have stopped and just let the crowd take lead.  What an astonishing sound, almost 20,000 fans, singing with such emotion, sent chills down your spine.  As a thank you they approached the front edge of the stage, tossed their guitar picks and drum sticks before taking a bow.
Although Breaking Benjamin’s set was amazing, everyone was ready for the headliner, Disturbed.  A video played as the intro for the guys to come to the stage.  The crowed screamed almost in

unison for their favorite band to emerge.  Disturbed was about to melt Dallas and rebuild the city.  They started the show with “10,000 Fits” and PYRO!, their pyrotechnic show.  This alone is well worth the ticket price!  Disturbed never lets fans down with their set of old and new songs. They also have a stage presence that leaves everyone talking about the show for days. After the flames died, the band came back with “The Game” and “The Vengeful One”, with even more flames and explosions. Bass player, John Moyer, played to the fans as well, with his high jumps and lavish slaps to the bass, all while thumping out the fast paced bass lines to “Prayer”, “Liberate”, and “Land of Confusion”, a cover song by Genesis. Performing “Stupify”, they took the fans into the mind of singer, Dave Draiman, and then slowed it down a bit with “The Sound of Silence”.  An original song by Simon & Garfunkel, it really showcases the vocal control that Draiman possesses.  As the band breaks down in acoustic guitars, Draiman lets his voice become the main instrument. They then picked back up with “Inside the Fire”, “Stricken”, “Indestructible”, “Voices” and closed the night with “Down With the Sickness”.  If you were able to get on your feet, you were on your feet.  Theses artists played their heart and souls out to the crowd in Dallas and they will never be the same.
