FORT WORTH FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 2016 FESTIVAL DATES

FORT WORTH, TX (December 14, 2015) ─ Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival, the largest consumer wine event in North Texas featuring more than 100 chefs and tastemakers, today announces that the 2016 festival will be held March 31, 2016 through April 3, 2016.

In its third consecutive year, the Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival (FWFWF) provides a tour of the city with six events showcasing everything from chef-driven canapés to out-of-this-world brunch offerings, juicy burgers, new spins on barbecue and an event solely dedicated to desserts.

Now, foodies can purchase a 2016 VIP All-access pass to the six signature festival events here. Guests who purchase the VIP Package gain access to each event including: The BBQ Showdown, The Main Event – Grand Tasting, Desserts After Dark, Rise + Dine, Burgers, Brews + Blues and Family Sunday Funday – Picnic at Panther Island. The VIP Package also includes:

  • A savings of $75 as opposed to purchasing tickets to all events individually
  • Access to the VIP area at the Main Event – Grand Tasting
  • Complimentary food tray and wine glass
  • Early entrance to Burgers, Brews & Blues

Foodies can also feel good about their festival purchase as proceeds from the four-day event benefit the Fort Worth Food + Wine Foundation, a non-profit organization with a mission to assist in the development of the Fort Worth and North Texas culinary community through a series of scholarships and grants. The FWFWF is proud to be part of the movement to elevate the skills and culinary knowledge of the general consumer and provide internship experiences for those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary industry.

Kick Off Event – BBQ Showdown

The best pit-masters in the state will come together to celebrate the festival launch and share their smoked treasures with guests as celebrity judges select their favorite bite! Look for lots of great barbecue-worthy beverages, as well.

The Main Event – Grand Tasting

Pier 1 Imports Building / Friday, April 1, 2016 / up to 1,100 attendees

Our Festival theme of “Taste The New Texas” is truly showcased during this big-and-bold evening. We’ll be pouring more than 100 exceptional wines, craft beers and spirits from near and far. The sipping pairs perfectly with food from the best North Texas chefs, restaurateurs, artisan producers and crafters.

Desserts After Dark

The Shack at Panther Island / Friday, April 1, 2016 / up to 800 attendees

The festival’s #latenight aims to please with tunes by Dj Jason Esquire and indulgence at its finest. Incorporating Firestone & Robertson’s TX Blended Whiskey in their creations, 12 pastry chefs team up with 12 mixologists to craft sweet treats for your palate’s pleasure. Guests will also enjoy an excellent selection of wine and beer.

Rise + Dine

Pier 1 Imports Building / Saturday, April 2, 2016 / up to 1,000 attendees

Enjoy Saturday brunch in all its glory with dozens of dream dishes from a dazzling assortment of noted area restaurants for a tasty and diverse feast! For just the right eye-opener, drink a wide selection of specialty wines and spirits, or belly up to the mimosa and Bloody Mary bars.

Burgers, Brews + Blues

Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork / Saturday, April 2, 2016 / up to 1,300 attendees What’s better than a trio of all-American classics: sliders, craft beer and a live blues band? Not much. Guests will enjoy 11 chefs grilling up their best mini-burgers for attendees and celebrity judges. Attendees can then pair the flavorful burgers with 22 craft breweries—all the while enjoying a sweet serenade by a live blues band.

Family Sunday Funday – Picnic at Panther Island

The Shack at Panther Island / Sunday, April 3, 2016 / up to 800 attendees

This picnic inspired day is truly fun for the whole family with a entertaining games area and food to satisfy even the strictest kid critics! The event will feature family friendly bites from food trucks and chuck wagons, chefs representing restaurants and caterers and refreshing adult and kid-friendly beverages to wash it all down.
