LEGENDARY HIT MAKERS AND HONKY-TONKERS MOE BANDY AND GENE WATSON MAKE IT TO PRIMETIME TONIGHT

THE MOE & GENE SHOW / THE GENE & MOE SHOW AIRS SEPTEMBER 18 ON RFD-TV

NASHVILLE, TN – It’s traditional country music at its finest!! Country music legends Moe Bandy and Gene Watson are set to perform hit after hit in a 1-hour prime time TV special for RFD-TV. Viewing times are Friday, September 18 at 7PM Central / 8PM Eastern and Saturday, September 19 at 11PM Central / Midnight Eastern. *Note the RFD-TV guide lists it as “Country’s Family Reunion” but it will definitely be The Gene and Moe Show.

The show was previously recorded at Joey+Rory’s Farmhouse Concert Hall in Columbia, Tennessee.

Moe Bandy and Gene Watson have been friends since back in the 70’s. Moe was coming onto the scene with “I Just Started Hatin’ Cheatin’ Songs” and Gene was singing about “Love in the Hot Afternoon.” These two classics marked the beginning of more than two decades of chart topping country radio hits respectively. They sure got it right when they chose these two compadres to fill a prime-time TV spot singing classic country songs, rendering true and real-life lyrics surrounded by fiddle and steel guitar! Both artists have brand new full projects in the works.

Larry Black, host of RFD-TV’s Larry’s Country Diner and creator/producer of Country’s Family Reunion, says “Apart, Gene and Moe are great talents. Together, they are hilarious. When I saw Gene and Moe react to each other I thought we’ve got to capture this, I mean what’s not to like. Great music, great friends and laughter.”

The show is produced by Gabriel Communications, the parent company that produces Larry’s Country Diner and Country’s Family Reunion shows.
