MAISIE PETERS RELEASES DEBUT SINGLE ‘STAY YOUNG’ AND VIDEO
Budding new artist, Maisie Peters, released a new single, ‘Stay Young’ along with the official video. Written by Peters, herself, and Sam ‘RØMANS’ Romans, it is very reminiscent of many current pop smash hits. Peter’s prides herself on writing genuine narratives of life, in this case, about the ups and downs of growing up.
“Stay Young is a time capsule of how I felt during the summer of 2018.” Maisie explains.
The official video was shot in LA and directed by Eric Rojas. The video highlights some of Peters’ favorites – The Great Gatsby, Harry Potter and posters on the walls of musical inspirations
“Stay Young is a time capsule of how I felt during the summer of 2018.” Maisie explains. “I had just finished A Levels and was finally getting to make music my job, living in London and going to studios every day. It was so exciting and felt like the beginning of something amazing but also was really lonely, as all my friends were at home going out together – as 18 years old do – and getting ready for university. It’s basically an ode to being young and growing up and the excitement and bittersweet feelings of loss that come with it, as well as being a sort of promise song to all my friends that I’m never that far away, no matter how many miles! ”
In 2018, Peters released her debut EP, ‘Dressed Too Nice For A Jacket’. She lso supported Tom Walker’s UK and European tours. 2019 sees Peters embarking on her debut headline UK tour on starting March 4th in her hometown of Brighton. The eight city tour(eleven dates) is almost sold out. The tour is heading to London, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Brighton, Warrington, Birmingham, Bristol and Dublin, Ireland.
