Maradeen Release Single ‘Livin’ For The Weekend’ Today
Above The Horizon Out October 21st – Produced By Moon Taxi’s Wes Bailey
Live Dates Through 2016
NASHVILLE, TX(August 26,2016) –   Maradeen have released the first single ‘Livin’ For The Weekend’ from their forthcoming album, today. Their second studio full-length Above The Horizon is set for release October 21st. The band combines a unique combination of jazz infused arrangements with real southern rock flavor; all of Maradeen’s members were born and raised in the South. With members hailing from Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, and North Carolina, the band came together in the music metropolis of Nashville in 2014. Between the tunes and the reputation for putting on a high-energy, killer live show soon caught the attention of Moon Taxi’s keyboardist, Wes Bailey to step in and handle production duties for their forthcoming albumKeyboardist Kaitlyn Connor talks about working with Bailey: “Bringing in someone like Wes, who is not only an incredible musician but is also very involved in Nashville’s rock scene, helped give us the direction that we needed to make this album unique.”
Above The Horizon seamlessly blends pop hooks with masterful musicianship and southern rock flair with each song telling a story. Maradeen will be showcasing the forthcoming album along with their debut release and a surprise cover here and there through the rest of 2016.
Vocalist and guitarist Whit Murray explains the inspiration behind the new single: “One of my best friends who I grew up with is insanely creative and sort of lives vicariously through what we do and loves helping out anyway he can. We text back and forth just bouncing ideas off of each other. I told him, I need the single for our last album that we’re recording. I told him that Wes said if I came up with a good title, he’d help me write it. My friend asked the premise for the title and I told him we needed a chorus that college kids are going to be singing at Hangout Fest, arm and arm, at the end of the weekend. Boom! Livin’ For the Weekend.

Of course it took a lot more texting back and forth but in the end, it was right in front of us. My fav songs that we write always start off with the title!”  Click here to listen!
