Review of Denver Day of Rock

FoxStreet1DENVER – Denver does it again with yet another amazing free street festival!  There was an extra dose of excitement walking through Denver’s 16th Street Mall as several side streets were filled with music and cheering fans. People of all ages were in attendance(and dancing) at this impressive one day festival that included bands from all over the United States as well as many of our local favorites.

One stage in particular, located on Champa Street, was loaded with rock, soul, and my personal favorite: FUNK.  Fox Street, a Denver band, immersed the crowd in their Southern inspired soul mixed with an appropriate amount of rock & roll to liven things up.

Closing out the night was the amazing Orgone, coming to us from Los Angeles.  On this cold, rain-filled FoxStreet3night there was no shortage of heat radiating from the fabulous vocals of the lovely Adryon de Leon.  This band drives the sound so uniquely, even to the funk community.  Despite the weather, this day was a huge success and music fans from all over will want to keep their eyes on these bands coming to their area.  Can’t wait to see what next year will have in store for Denver!
