RUN RIVER NORTH CONTINUES TO AMAZE U.S.

NEW YORK, NY – Formerly known as Monsters Calling Home, they have been through struggles as a band but never as musicians. “Run Or Hide” seems to be not only their super hit, but the musical story of the band’s frustrations.

On April 12, in a packed house at the Gramercy Theatre, they confessed to their fans how happy they are to finally feel more united than ever before. The Ace Ventura rhino “birth” scene analogy made the band identity crisis look like a funny story, now that it’s all behind.

Blending an organic, sincere, dreamy feel into their sophisticated yet accessible songs, they evolved at every level since their debut self titled album from 2014.  In comparison to their previous album, we are pleased to hear Sally’s backing vocals next to Alex’s captivating voice and very interesting instrumental arrangements. The lyrics have meaning, transporting us through a journey of life that often feels like drinking from a salt pond.

We clearly felt throughout the show this band is here to stay. RRN is now experienced as a group, they’ve been through both humble beginnings and tremendous success and they know now, more than ever, it is really up to them to succeed even further. The Honda commercial and The Jimmy Kimmel Live! were fantastic at the time but now everyone is ready for the next big chapter. Their new producer Lars Stalfors (The Colorist, Cold War Kids, Health, Matt and Kim) already made his presence felt. We are sure touring with Radiohead will also help this amazing band grow.

RRN sounds and looks great on stage, entertaining the audience through a fantastic journey we recommend you shouldn’t miss whenever the band is your area.

Current album: Drinking From A Salt Pond

Band members: Alex Hwang, Daniel Chae, Sally Kang, Jennifer Rim, John Chong, Joseph Chun.

Currently touring the US, later this year on the road in Japan with Radiohead.
