SHAWN MENDES KICKS OFF HEADLINING WORLD TOUR IN EUROPE
“STITCHES” REACHES #1 ON BILLBOARD
ADULT CONTEMPORARY CHART
Shawn Mendes has officially kicked off his headlining world tour, playing to sold-out crowds in Germany and Holland this past weekend. The Shawn Mendes World Tour 2016 will hit 39 cities in 12 countries, with Shawn performing hits from his platinum debut album Handwritten as well as never-before-heard songs from his highly anticipated follow-up album. The North American leg of the tour will begin July 15th in Boca Raton, FL and will continue through August 21st in Toronto, Ontario (see below for full list of dates).
The start of Shawn’s tour was preceded by special live performances of 4x-platinum single “Stitches” on The Voice U.K.’s season finale and Alan Carr: Chatty Man. “Stitches” has reached yet another milestone this week, leading at #1 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart this week after having previously topped both the Pop Songs and Adult Pop Songs charts.
Shawn is recording his forthcoming second album with Grammy-nominated producer Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran’s “+” & “x” albums).
