Tallest Man on Earth – Ogden Theatre

By Shanna Fisher

DENVER, CO – As the crowd filed into a packed Ogden Theatre, the energy & excitement lifted.  No longer taking the stage solo, The Tallest Man on Earth, Kristian Matsson, played every song like it was his last.  Sounding better than his studio albums, his voice had a little gruff that made each song incredibly distinct & powerful.  As sweat poured down the bands’ face, the group sounded tighter and tighter with tunes like ‘1904’ & ‘Revelation Blues’.  Kristian also played a few acoustic songs like ‘Love is All’ & ‘The Gardener’.  Although his most recent album ‘Dark Bird is Home’ is a bit of a heart breaker, there was incredible energy with fans dancing & cheering with several songs from past albums.  The Tallest Man on Earth is a show all folk indie fans should definitely see, so be sure to check out The Tallest Man on Earth on the rest of his American tour through September.
