THE DARKNESS returns to the States w/ 2016 ‘Back in the USSA’ Tour -

DALLAS, TX (April 26, 2016) – Hundreds of loyal fans gathered at the House of Blues in Dallas for the much anticipated return of British rock sensation, The Darkness. A veritable sea of red clown noses filled out both the floor and balcony levels as a near-capacity crowd to witness the second US tour in as many years.

As the intro music faded, The Darkness appeared on stage and immediately went into their hit single, “Barbarian”, off their latest album. (Check out the video for “Barbarian” here!)

On the heels of their critically acclaimed LP, The Last of Our Kind, 2015, The Darkness hit the road, finishing the year with a month-long US tour. January and February of this year saw the band in Europe and after brief respite, the quadruple platinum selling band returned to The States to pick up where their fall tour left off.

The Darkness was originally formed in 1999 and after two records, Permission to Land, 2003 and One Way Ticket to Hell….and Back, 2005, split. Six years and a couple of side projects later, The Darkness reunited. The current lineup consists of founding members Justin Hawkins on vocals, keys and guitar, guitarist Dan Hawkins and bassist Frankie Poullain. The newest addition is percussionist Rufus Taylor, who joined the band last year.
