THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PREMIERES OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR “DADDY ISSUES”

Los Angeles band The Neighbourhood has unveiled the official video for their track “Daddy Issues” – check it out HERE. The band peers into the relationship abyss from the dashboard of their car in the new angst-filled visual, guided by Director Warren Kommers in black and white driveway noir.

The band is also set to embark on an immense run of tour dates throughout the U.S. and Europe, beginning in Seattle on May 6. The group will travel to 27 U.S. cities including Los Angeles, Denver, Austin, Atlanta, Nashville, Kansas City and more, while also stopping for performances at Hangout Festival, Bunbury Festival, and Firefly Festival. Less than a month later, the band will take their production overseas to play over 10 festivals in Europe, including Summer Well Festival in Romania, Lowlands Festival in Netherlands, Zurich Openair, and Reading in Leeds. See full list of dates below.

The Neighbourhood released their latest album Wiped Out! in October 2015 and captured a spot in the Top 10 on the overall album sales chart and the #1 spot on the Alternative Albums chart. Their sophomore offering featured single “R.I.P. 2 My Youth,” which has gone on to garner over 19 Million streams on Spotify and over 7 Million views on the official video. The album and single were worthy follow-ups to their gold-certified debut album I Love You, and the band’s influential, double-platinum hit single “Sweater Weather,” which ruled radio and video platforms for months with one of the longest and most successful runs of 2013. They also stood out as the pop band who did the unorthodox in their genre by releasing a rap mixtape hosted by hip hop heroes Don Cannon and DJ Drama called #000000 & #FFFFFF with the likes of Raury, Danny Brown, DeJ Loaf, French Montana and Casey Veggies.

The group’s frontman Jesse Rutherford has also recently released &, a 144-page hardcover book of black and white images featuring Jesse himself, shot by acclaimed Australian photographer Jessie English. In the space of three hours they moved from torn t-shirt to Chanel beauty with impeccable ease and imagination. They shot eight distinct looks and 500 images. They neither retouched, nor even excluded a single frame, and the images are presented in the order they were shot. The book is based on the ideas of gender fluidity, self expression, and rock iconography and became available via Remedial Media in February 2016.

The Neighbourhood is: Jesse Rutherford (vocals), Jeremy Freedman (guitar), Zach Abels (guitar) Mikey Margott (bass) Brandon Fried (drums).
